JOHN LAWSON

CHEF/OWNER

Westminster trained John Lawson and started his career at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons. His training with Raymond Blanc saw him go on to work in two and three Michelin star restaurants in France, the UK, USA and Australia, restaurants including; Daniel Boulud’s and Gordon Ramsey at The London, New York.

John has been a private chef for The Sultan of Oman and a high-profile Celebrity family. He appeared on MasterChef and cooked at the Australian Open in 2014 and 2015.

He went on to be awarded a Chef's hat (michelin star) at his restaurant in Melbourne, No 8 by John Lawson. In 2016 John was diagnosed with a brain tumour, his on-going recovery has been mainly as a result of the food he eats. Real food, cooked to nutritionally support the body. He opened FOOD by John Lawson in June 2017 to share his love of good food with the hope of inspiring us all the eat 'Real Food'. Find out more about John’s Journey


Liam Lingwood

HEAD CHEF

A creative, innovative and highly skilled chef, Liam has learnt his craft whilst working at some of the top restaurants and kitchens in the UK including working in Kerridge’s Bar & Grill.

Liam works closely with John to create exciting monthly menus that focus on season changes and highlight flavour and health benefits in every dish.

Liam’s use of bold ingredients to create beautifully presented food always leaves diners raving about his food.


CLAIRE QUINN

RESTAURANT MANAGER

Claire is passionate about the health and wellbeing, having grown up with a family who loved eating real food, she understand the importance of healthy, seasonal produce.

Claire has been a fan of the restaurant for many years and jumped at the chance to be part of the team at Food, bringing her wealth of experience and knowledge.


ALI GRAVES

RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR

Ali is passionate about well-being, teaches yoga and has just completed a degree in Psychology and Sociology. 

Ali has spent the past 15 years working in hospitality and events and her job at Food by John Lawson brings together her skills and her love for health and happiness.

OLIVER NEWMAN

APPRENTICE CHEF

Ollie has always been passionate about food and cooking throughout his childhood and school, deciding to go to college to study food further. Ollie is enjoying learning to cook with the seasons and he is growing his experience with us at the restaurant.


Millie Swan

WAITRESS

Millie is our restaurant superstar, reliable, hardworking and always has a smile on her face! She is passionate about food and cooking and enjoys meeting our guests old and new!
